SunSirs: Taiwan's Ferrosilicon Imports in August

According to Taiwan Customs data, Taiwan's total ferrosilicon imports in August 2025 totaled 8,817 tons, a 19.15% decrease from the previous month and a 79.13% increase from the previous year. From January to August 2025, Taiwan's total ferrosilicon imports reached 61,798 tons, a 20.23% increase from the previous year. Of this total, 408 tons of ferrosilicon (≤55%) came from mainland China and 34 tons from Norway in August.
The top three importers of ferrosilicon (>55%) from Taiwan were China and Russia (3,891 tons), mainland China (2,927 tons), and Norway (1,018 tons).
As an integrated internet platform providing benchmark prices, on September 12, the benchmark price of ferrosilicon on SunSirs was 5,264.29 RMB/ton, down 0.86% from 5,310 RMB/ton at the beginning of the month.
