On August 27th, the commodity price index BPI was 871 points, unchanged from yesterday, a decrease of 35.15% from the highest point of 1,343 points during the cycle (2021-10-19), and an increase of 31.97% from the lowest point of 660 points on February 3rd, 2016.
According to the price monitoring of SunSirs, on August 27, 2025, there were a total of 39 commodities that showed a year-on-year increase in commodity prices, mainly concentrated in the chemical sector (18 in total) and the non-ferrous sector (8 in total). The top three commodities with the highest increase were n-butanol (industrial grade) (1.90%), praseodymium neodymium oxide (1.69%), and neodymium oxide (1.60%). There were a total of 62 commodities that experienced a month on month decline, mainly in the chemical industry (29 in total) and steel (11 in total). The top three commodities that experienced a decline were n-propanol (-4.05%), WTI crude oil (-2.39%), and Brent crude oil (-2.30%).
