August 26 2025 09:02:03     SunSirs (John)

Price trend

According to the SunSirs commodity market analysis system, the price of benzene saw a slight increase last week, rising from 6,145.33 RMB/ton on Monday to 6,272 RMB/ton on Friday, a 0.43% increase for the week.

Analysis review

Benzene: Benzene prices saw a slight increase on August 22. The rise in international crude oil futures on August 21 led to a positive trading atmosphere in the benzene market, with refineries and traders offering firm prices. However, frequent reports of downstream plant maintenance may impact future demand, with continued demand remaining weak, limiting overall price increases.

Market outlook

Crude oil futures: On August 21, international crude oil futures continued their upward trend. The October contract for U.S. WTI crude oil futures settled at $63.52 per barrel, up $0.81, or 1.3%. The October contract for Brent crude oil futures settled at $67.67 per barrel, up $0.83, or 1.2%.

On August 21, the price of benzene on the FOB Korea market increased by $4 to $736/ton, while the price on the CFR China market increased by $3 to $751/ton. The price on the FOB Rotterdam market increased by $2 to $671/ton, while the price on the FOB US Gulf market increased by $5 to 265 cents/gallon.

In the short term, the benzene market will fluctuate slightly, prompting cautious trading. Wait and see news on costs and demand. Continue to monitor crude oil and foreign market trends, benzene and downstream plant developments, and demand fluctuations, impacting benzene prices.
