SunSirs: 59.85 Million Tons of Soybean Meal Produced in the United States in 2025/26

The US Department of Agriculture maintained a soybean meal production of 59.85 million short tons for 2025/26 in its August supply and demand report, a year-on-year increase of 4.5%; Domestic consumption reached 41.775 million short tons, a year-on-year increase of 2.8%; Exported 18.7 million short tons, a year-on-year increase of 4.5%. Closing inventory of 475,000 short tons, a year-on-year increase of 5.6%; The annual average price has been lowered by $10 to $280 per short ton.
For the year 2024/25, the estimated export of soybean meal has been slightly increased from 17.4 million short tons last month to 17.9 million short tons, but the production has been correspondingly reduced, so the ending inventory remains unchanged at 450,000 short tons; The annual average price of Chenjidou meal has been lowered by $5 to $295 per short ton.
