SunSirs: Xylene Market Situation in Some Regions of China on August 13

On August 13, the benchmark price of xylene on SunSirs was 5,880.00 RMB/ton, down 2.16% from the beginning of this month (6,010.00 RMB/ton).
On August 13, the mainstream spot price range for xylene in East China was 5,800-5,840 RMB/ton, essentially unchanged from the previous trading day. With downstream buyers purchasing on demand, morning market activity was subdued, and lack of demand support led to generally stable market quotations on August 13.
On August 13, the mainstream xylene market quotes in South China were in the 5,850-5,950 RMB/ton range, unchanged from the previous trading day. Downstream demand was temporarily weak, with a wait-and-see attitude and generally low trading activity. Sinopec South China's xylene prices: Guangzhou Petrochemical's isomerization was priced at 5,950 RMB/ton, Maoming Petrochemical's isomerization was priced at 5,900 RMB/ton, and Sinochem Refining and Chemical's isomerization was priced at 5,900 RMB/ton.
