The mainstream market price of heavy soda ash was around 1,300-1,350 RMB/ton, with a 50 RMB/ton price reduction compared to the price on August 11. Supply-side capacity utilization was high, soda ash inventories were ample, downstream glass prices were weak, market inquiries were generally low, and soda ash companies were shipping limited goods. In the short term, the soda ash market in East China is expected to remain stable.

On August 13, soda ash prices in North China were adjusted. The mainstream market price for light soda ash was around 1,230-1,300 RMB/ton, a 20 RMB/ton decrease from August 11. The mainstream market price for heavy soda ash was around 1,300-1,400 RMB/ton, a 20 RMB/ton decrease from August 11. Supply-side capacity utilization was high, soda ash inventories were ample, and the downstream glass market remained weak. Market trading was tepid, and soda ash companies were actively shipping. Soda ash prices in North China were consolidating downward.

On August 13, soda ash prices in central China remained stable, with light soda ash quoted at around 1,140-1,300 RMB/ton. This price decreased by 20 RMB/ton from the price on August 11. Heavy soda ash prices were quoted at around 1,250-1,400 RMB/ton, with a 50 RMB/ton decrease from the price on August 6. Supply capacity utilization remained high, and soda ash supplies were plentiful. However, the downstream glass market remained weak, with low market entry enthusiasm and limited shipments. The soda ash market in central China is expected to remain stable in the short term.
