As of the close on August 12th, the closing price of the Asian MTBE market has increased by $8.68/ton compared to the previous trading day, and FOB Singapore closed at $661.67-663.67/ton. The closing price of the European MTBE market has increased by $8/ton compared to the previous trading day, with FOB ARA closing at $803.99-804.49/ton. The closing price of the MTBE market in the United States decreased by $0.78 per ton compared to the previous trading day, and the FOB Gulf offshore price closed at $749.55-749.90 per ton (211.64-211.74 cents per gallon).
