SunSirs: Pakistan's Total Cotton Output Down 30% as of July 31

As of July 31st, cotton ginneries nationwide had received 594,000 bales of cotton. This was due to a 47% drop in production in Sindh province.
Cotton production in Punjab province saw a slight increase, according to the PCGA. The PCGA report showed that as of July 31st, cotton ginneries in Punjab had received 302,000 bales of cotton, a slight increase of 3% compared to the same period last year.
Ginners in Sindh received 292,000 bales of cotton, a 47% decrease year-on-year. Despite the overall decline in production, ginners still had 99,000 bales of this year's product available for sale, compared to 64,700 bales in the same period last year.
