Domestic benzene prices were rising. Rising crude oil prices were boosting styrene and benzene futures, boosting confidence in the benzene market. Sinopec's refineries in East and South China were raising benzene prices by 100 yuan to 6,050 RMB/ton, effective July 29th. Shandong local refineries were continuing to raise their prices, making it difficult to find lower bids on the market.
