SunSirs: Demand Increases, Leading to a Rise in China Sugar Prices

According to the monitoring of the commodity market analysis system of SunSirs, the average price of first grade white sugar in China was 6,043 RMB/ton at the beginning of last week, and 6,050 RMB/ton at the end of last week, with a price increase of 0.11%.

Domestically, the demand for sugar terminals is increasing during the hot summer weather. As of the end of June, the industrial inventory in Yunnan Province was 667,600 tons, an increase of 68,500 tons year-on-year; Guangxi's industrial inventory was 1.3244 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 330,800 tons; Hainan Province's industrial inventory was 29,300 tons, an increase of 6,000 tons year-on-year.

Brazil exported 677,300 tons of sugar and molasses in the first week of July, a decrease of 359,000 tons or 34.63% compared to the same period last year's 1.0363 million tons. The amount of sugar waiting for shipment at the port is 3.2059 million tons, compared to 2.7042 million tons in the previous week. The expected sugar production in central and southern Brazil in the second half of June is 2.95 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 9.8%.

The demand for domestic white sugar market is increasing, and it is expected that the price of white sugar will mainly fluctuate with a strong trend in the short term.
