On July 2nd, the commodity price index BPI was 855 points, unchanged from yesterday, down 36.34% from the highest point of 1,343 points during the cycle (2021-10-19), and up 29.55% from the lowest point of 660 points on February 3rd, 2016.
According to the price monitoring of SunSirs, on July 2, 2025, there were a total of 48 commodities that showed a year-on-year increase in commodity prices, mainly concentrated in the chemical sector (17 in total) and the steel sector (9 in total). The top three commodities with the highest increase were dichloromethane (3.55%), epichlorohydrin (3.06%), and sulfuric acid (2.14%). There are a total of 55 products that have experienced a month on month decline, mainly concentrated in the chemical industry (32 in total) and rubber and plastic (9 in total). Products with a decline of more than 5% are mainly concentrated in the chemical industry sector; The top three products with a decline are hydrochloric acid (-12.82%), heavy soda ash (-5.47%), and light soda ash (-5.25%).
