In June 2025, China's acetone production was 277,000 tons, an increase of 2,000 tons from May 2025 and a month on month growth of 0.7%. In June, 8 sets of phenol ketone units were shut down for maintenance, resulting in a loss of approximately 50,000 tons of acetone. In June, China's acetone production capacity utilization rate was 79.3%.
In July, the production and operating rate of acetone in China are predicted to be around 307,000 tons, with an operating rate of 80%. The production is showing an increasing trend compared to June, and attention should be paid to the operation status of newly added phenol ketone enterprises in China.
