South Africa surpassed South Africa to become the largest supplier, importing 6,686.4 tons of unprocessed nickel from South Africa in the same month, a month on month increase of 507.87%. From January to May 2025, China's cumulative import of unprocessed nickel was 78,700 tons, a year-on-year increase of 123%.
In May 2025, China's export volume of unprocessed nickel was 13,973.445 tons, a decrease of 2,737 tons or 16.38% compared to the previous month; An increase of 2,474 tons year-on-year, with a growth rate of 21.52%. From January to May 2025, China's cumulative export volume of unprocessed nickel was 78,588.207 tons, an increase of 45,446 tons year-on-year, with a growth rate of 137.12%. In May 2025, China's net import of unprocessed nickel was 3,714 tons, slightly higher than the previous month.
