SunSirs: The Sugar Prices in China Yunnan Spot Market Fell on June 11

On June 11th, sugar companies in the Kunming spot market lowered their prices to 5,850-5,860 RMB/ton, a decrease of 20 RMB/ton from the 10th price. As of May 31st, Yunnan Province has sold a total of 1.5558 million tons of sugar, with a sugar sales rate of 64.32%.
According to customs statistics, during the 2024/25 crushing season, Yunnan Province imported a total of 3.13 million tons of sugarcane from overseas, a year-on-year increase of 28.8%. The total amount of sugarcane harvested in Yunnan Province is 18.063 million tons, with a cumulative sugar production of 2.4188 million tons. Overseas sugarcane accounts for 17.33% of the total sugarcane harvested in the province.
