1. Price trend

According to the commodity market analysis system of SunSirs, the price of color-coated sheets tends to stabilize this week. The market price of color-coated sheets was 6,633 RMB/ton on May 12, and the price was 6,633 RMB/ton on May 16. The price tended to stabilize compared with last week and increased by 0.759% compared with the same period last year.

2. Analysis and comment

Galvanized sheets: The price of galvanized sheets fell slightly this week. On Friday (May 16), the price of galvanized sheets was 4,240 RMB/ton, a decrease of 0.399% from last week and 14.46% from the same period last year. The downstream demand of the coating and plating market was tepid, and the market transaction was weak.

3. Outlook for the future market

This week, the supply of five major steel varieties ( rebar, hot-rolled coil, wire rod, cold-rolled coil and mid and thick plate) was 8.8369 million tons, a decrease of 58,200 tons from the previous week, a decrease of 0.7%. The total inventory of the five major steel products was 14.3066 million tons, down 454,100 tons from the previous week, a decrease of 3.1%.

The weekly consumption of the five major varieties was 9.1376 million tons, an increase of 8% from the previous week; among them, the consumption of building materials increased by 16.2% from the previous week, and the consumption of sheets increased by 5.2% from the previous week.

Considering the coming of the off-season, although the costs of most factories continue to rise, the psychological state of shipment continues, and the quotations are high and firm. This week, most domestic devices are operating normally, production and sales have not yet been balanced, and the inventory is slightly accumulated. It is expected that the price of color-coated sheets will be basically stable in the short term.
