On May 21, the soda ash prices in East China remained unchanged, with the mainstream market price of light soda ash at around 1,300-1,500 RMB/ton, and the price increased by 20 RMB/ton on April 27; the mainstream market price of heavy soda ash was around 1,400-1,500 RMB/ton, and the price decreased by 50 RMB/ton on April 14. The supply-side capacity utilization rate decreased, the market supply pressure weakened, the downstream just needed to replenish inventory, and the market trading followed up on demand. In the short term, the soda ash market in East China will wait and see.

On May 21, the price of soda ash in central China remained unchanged, with the mainstream market quotation of light soda ash at around 1,270-1,400 RMB/ton, and the price increased by 30 RMB/ton on May 6; the mainstream market quotation of heavy soda ash was around 1,350-1,450 RMB/ton, and the price decreased by 50 RMB/ton on April 10. The supply-side capacity utilization rate decreased, the market supply pressure weakened, the downstream just needed to replenish inventory, and the market transactions followed up on demand. In the short term, the soda ash market in central China was stable and wait-and-see.
