On May 14th, the commodity price index BPI was 864 points, up 5 points from yesterday, down 35.67% from the highest point of 1,343 points during the cycle (2021-10-19), and up 30.91% from the lowest point of 660 points on February 3rd, 2016.
According to the price monitoring of SunSirs, on May 14, 2025, there were a total of 83 commodities that showed a year-on-year increase in commodity prices, mainly concentrated in the chemical industry sector (38 in total) and the rubber and plastic industry sector (11 in total). Commodities with an increase of more than 5% were mainly concentrated in the chemical industry sector; The top three products with the highest increase are polyferric sulfate (7.84%), polyester FDY (6.25%), and polyester POY (4.65%). There were a total of 35 products that experienced a month on month decline, mainly in the chemical industry (20 in total) and non-ferrous metals (7 in total). The top 3 products with the highest decline were AES fatty alcohol polyoxyethylene ether sodium sulfate (-4.16%), tetraethylenepentamine (-1.58%), and lithium carbonate industrial grade (-1.54%).
