On April 21st, the National Grain and Oil Information Center reported that on April 18th, the closing price of the Dalian Commodity Exchange soybean meal 2509 contract was 3,039 RMB/ton, a decrease of 43 RMB/ton or 1.4% compared to the previous week; In terms of spot goods, the price of ordinary soybean meal in coastal areas is 3,200-3,600 RMB/ton, while the price in North China is 300-450 RMB/ton higher than in East China and South China, mainly due to the tight supply of soybeans and soybean meal from oil factories in North China.
Due to the generally low soybean meal inventory of breeding enterprises, there is a rigid demand for replenishment before the May Day holiday, and it is expected that the domestic soybean meal prices will fluctuate within a range in the near future. After May, with a large amount of imported soybeans arriving at the port, it is expected that the supply of soybeans and soybean meal will become loose, and prices will gradually weaken.
