In March 2025, the export volume of MTBE was 303,600 tons, an increase of 8.41% month on month and a decrease of 18.68% year-on-year. The average export price was 819.12 US dollars/ton, an increase of 4.93% month on month. The largest export volume is to Singapore, at 120,000 tons, with an average export price of 788.47 US dollars per ton.
In March 2025, the import volume of MTBE was 0.02 million tons, a month on month decrease of 35.71% and a year-on-year decrease of 34.12%.
As of the close on April 21st, the closing price of the Asian MTBE market has increased by $2.69/ton compared to the previous trading day, with FOB Singapore closing at $668.73-670.73 per ton. Due to the Western Good Friday holiday, the MTBE market in Europe is closed. The closing price of the MTBE market in the United States decreased by $11.86 per ton compared to the previous trading day, and the FOB Gulf offshore price closed at $692.49-692.84 per ton (195.53-195.63 cents per gallon).
