SunSirs: Malaysia Lowers Palm Oil Reference Price by nearly 9% in March, 2025

The customs notice released on the website of the Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB) stated that Malaysia has set the export tax on crude palm oil at 10% in March, which is the same as in February.
The reference price for crude palm oil in March was set at 4,390.37 ringgit/ton (988.38 US dollars), higher than the reference price of 4,817.70 ringgit/ton (1,69.89 US dollars, at which time the exchange rate was 1 US dollar to 4.503 ringgit) in February. This means that the palm oil export tax levied in March was $98.8 per ton, a decrease of 7.6% from $107 in January.
