On January 23, the commodity price index BPI was 887 points, a decrease of 1 point from yesterday, a decrease of 33.95% from the highest point of 1,343 points during the cycle (2021-10-19), and an increase of 34.39% from the lowest point of 660 points on February 3, 2016.
According to the price monitoring of SunSirs, on January 23, 2025, there were a total of 20 commodities that showed a year-on-year increase in commodity prices, mainly concentrated in the chemical sector (8 in total) and textile sector (3 in total). The top 3 commodities with the highest increase were petroleum coke (2.39%), MTBE (2.17%), and urea (1.36%). There were a total of 37 products that experienced a month on month decline, mainly in the chemical industry (10 in total) and non-ferrous metals (8 in total). The top 3 products with the highest decline were palm oil (-2.58%), zinc (-2.14%), and nickel (-2.09%).
