SunSirs: Nickel Morning Post on December 27th
December 27 2024 13:56:23     SunSirs (John)
The London metal market was closed overnight due to the Christmas holiday and reopened today. Previously, market trading had been relatively quiet, with basic metals maintaining range fluctuations overall. Analysis suggests that this is mainly due to the impact of a low liquidity environment.
On the other hand, some people believe that the trend in 2025 will largely depend on geopolitical developments, and with high inflation, the Federal Reserve plans to reduce the frequency of interest rate cuts next year.
Domestically, the Shanghai nickel futures in the evening session remained stable at a high level, closing slightly positive and reaching the 126,000 RMB/ton mark. The final reported price is 126,370 RMB/ton, with an increase of 600 RMB/ton or 0.48%.
