On December 18th, the commodity price index BPI was 886 points, a decrease of 3 points from yesterday, a decrease of 34.03% from the highest point of 1,343 points during the cycle (2021-10-19), and an increase of 34.24% from the lowest point of 660 points on February 3rd, 2016.
According to the price monitoring of SunSirs, on December 18, 2024, there were a total of 20 commodities that showed a year-on-year increase in commodity prices, mainly concentrated in the chemical industry sector (11 in total) and building materials sector (3 in total). The top 3 commodities with the highest increase were butanone (1.82%), liquefied natural gas (LNG)(1.66%), and phthalic anhydride (1.54%). There were a total of 56 products that experienced a month on month decline, concentrated in non-ferrous metals (14 in total) and chemicals (14 in total). The top three products with the highest decline were soybean oil (-3.95%), caustic soda (-2.39%), and rapeseed oil (-2.01%).
