On December 5th, the commodity price index BPI was 892 points, up 1 point from yesterday, down 33.58% from the highest point of the cycle at 1,343 points (2021-10-19), and up 35.15% from the lowest point of 660 points on February 3rd, 2016.
According to the price monitoring of SunSirs, on December 5, 2024, there were a total of 39 commodities that showed a year-on-year increase in commodity prices, mainly concentrated in the chemical sector (17 in total) and the non-ferrous sector (6 in total). The top three commodities with the highest increase were acetic anhydride (3.48%), DMF (1.90%), and petroleum coke (1.65%). There were a total of 35 products with a month on month decline, mainly concentrated in the chemical industry (10 in total) and non-ferrous metals (7 in total). The top three products with a decline were liquefied natural gas (LNG0 (-2.48%), rapeseed meal (-2.42%), and phthalic anhydride (-2.19%).
