SunSirs: API: Unexpected Increase in US Crude Oil and Gasoline Inventories Last Week, Decrease in Distillate Inventories
June 26 2024 14:49:47     SunSirs (Selena)According to foreign news on June 25th, market sources cited data from the American Petroleum Institute (API) on Tuesday, stating that US crude oil and gasoline inventories unexpectedly increased last week, while distillate inventories decreased.
According to API data, as of the week ending June 21st, US crude oil inventories increased by 914,000 barrels. Gasoline inventories increased by 3.843 million barrels, while distillate inventories decreased by 1.178 million barrels.
Analysts interviewed had previously expected a decrease of approximately 2.9 million barrels in crude oil inventories, a decrease of approximately 1 million barrels in gasoline inventories, and a decrease of approximately 300,000 barrels in distillate inventories last week.
