SunSirs: The PTFE Market Remained Stable and Declined in April

Price trend

The PTFE market remained stable and declined in April. According to the monitoring system of SunSirs, as of April 28th, the market price of PTFE suspended pellets remained around 36,000-50,000 RMB/ton.

Analysis review

Raw material side: Recently, the domestic price trend of hydrofluoric acid had increased, with slightly lower production of hydrofluoric acid units and reduced inventory of hydrofluoric acid manufacturers. The mainstream price of hydrofluoric acid in various regions of China had increased to 11,300-11,700 RMB/ton, and there were still units waiting for market shutdown. The spot supply of hydrofluoric acid had decreased, and the production of anhydrous hydrofluoric acid was less than 60%. The high pressure on the cost side remained unchanged.

Downstream end: There was no favorable phenomenon in the downstream market, and there was insufficient purchasing sentiment, with on-demand procurement being the main focus. As of April 28th, the PTFE market was in a sustained downturn.

Market outlook

The PTFE analyst from SunSirs believes that in the short term, the high prices of raw materials will provide support, downstream demand will be weak and continue to be sluggish, and the PTFE market will operate weakly and steadily.
