SunSirs: The PTFE market was Stable in March

Price trend

The PTFE market maintained stable operation in March. According to the monitoring system of SunSirs, as of March 28th, the market price of PTFE suspended pellets remained around 37,000-50,000 RMB/ton.

Analysis review

Raw material side: The domestic price of chloroform had continued to rise this month. As of March 28th, the benchmark price of chloroform in SunSirs was 2,780.00 RMB/ton, an increase of 11.80% compared to the beginning of this month (2,486.67 RMB/ton). The price of hydrofluoric acid increased by 3.18% within the month, and the continuous increase in raw material costs further supported the domestic refrigerant R22 market price. The domestic refrigerant R22 market price continued to rise.

Downstream end: There was no favorable phenomenon in the downstream market, and there was insufficient purchasing sentiment, with on-demand procurement being the main focus. As of March 28th, the PTFE market was in a situation of strong supply and weak demand.

Market outlook

The PTFE analyst from SunSirs believes that in the short term, the high prices of raw materials will support, downstream demand will be weak, and the wait-and-see sentiment will be strong, resulting in a weak and stable operation of the PTFE market.
