According to the Commodity Market Analysis System of SunSirs, the average market price of dichloroethane in China in mid April (4.13-4.19) was 2,726 RMB/ton, and the market price remained stable, with consolidation.
Analysis review
In early April, the overall market oversupply led to manufacturers of dichloroethane products lowering their prices, and the market's focus shifted downwards. In the middle of the month, the market for dichloroethane had stopped falling and stabilized, with a narrow tightening of supply. However, downstream enthusiasm was not good, and the market trading atmosphere was still stable. The dichloroethane market was maintaining stable operation.
Cost side:
In mid April, the overall Asian ethylene market quotation was lowered, with an average CFR price of 915 US dollars/ton in Northeast Asia, a decrease of 15 US dollars/ton compared to early April; The average price of CFR in Southeast Asia was 1,010 US dollars per ton, and the price remained stable. The domestic ethylene quotation in East China was 7,550 RMB/ton, an increase of 50 RMB/ton compared to early April. The main focus was on pre holiday factory inventory scheduling, and the trading atmosphere was average.
Demand side:
The domestic PVC market lacked domestic demand, and the downstream real estate industry was still in a weak state with high inventory. As of April 19th, the price of ethylene based PVC in the East China region was 6,000 RMB/ton, and the market price was stable, with the market continuing to fluctuate at a low level.
Market outlook
SunSirs's dichloroethane analyst believes that the cost side and demand side market trend were not volatile, and it is expected that the price of dichloroethane will consolidate in the near future.
