Analysis review
Upstream: This week, the mainstream prices of steel mill billets remained stable and declined, with some ex factory prices decreasing by 20-30 RMB/ton compared to the previous week.
The upstream tube blank factory execution quotation had been increased by 10 RMB/ton to 3,610 RMB/ton. Liaocheng and Linyi area management factories had received notices of environmental production restrictions, and due to the impact of environmental production restrictions, the start of production had decreased to about 30%. The inventory of conventional specifications in the factories was relatively tight. It is reported that a blast furnace in Luli, Shandong was scheduled to undergo maintenance until early February, but its produced tube billets were mainly supplied to its own tube factory, so it had little impact on the market. Recently, the transactions with the management factory had not been bad, so the management factory had a willingness to raise prices.
Market outlook
