On January 3rd, the commodity price index (BPI) was at 955 points, unchanged from yesterday, a decrease of 28.89% from the highest point in the cycle of 1,343 points (2021-10-19), and an increase of 44.70% from the lowest point of 660 points on February 3rd, 2016. (Note: The cycle refers to 2011-12-01 present).
According to the price monitoring of SunSirs, on January 3, 2024, there were a total of 53 commodities with a month on month increase in the list of commodity prices, concentrated in the chemical sector (15 in total) and the steel sector (14 in total). The top three commodities with a rise were acetone (3.07%), iron ore (Australia) (2.67%), and dichloromethane (2.49%). There are a total of 55 commodities with a month on month decline, concentrated in chemical (23 in total) and non-ferrous (12 in total), and commodities with a decline of more than 5% are mainly concentrated in the non-ferrous sector; The top three commodities with a decline were dysprosium metal (-12.60%), chloroacetic acid (-10.38%), and praseodymium oxide (-3.28%). The average daily increase and decrease is -0.17%.
