Yesterday, the spot price was 2,006 RMB/ton (+5), with an operating rate of 83.33%, unchanged from the previous trading day. In terms of demand, except for Hubei, all real estate sales were good yesterday, and the sentiment for shipments from South China was high. Entering January (until around the Spring Festival), some dealers have a demand for purchasing and restocking. Overall, the situation remains strong in the south and weak in the north: the demand for construction in the south is relatively stable, with relatively good shipments. The demand for real estate completion and home decoration to some extent supports the demand for glass. Last week, there was a slight decrease in inventory: South China, Southwest, East China and other southern regions had better inventory reduction, while the Northeast region had a significant decrease in inventory last week through flexible pricing operations; Last week, the North China region continued to maintain a trend of accumulated inventory, while there was little change in inventory in Central and Northwest China. From the overall inventory level, the glass factory inventory is still relatively neutral and low, with specific regions such as Shahe and Central China maintaining low inventory levels, which also provides significant support for prices. Overall, the current fundamentals of glass are good, with no significant supply-demand contradictions. The overall inventory is neutral and low (low inventory in Shahe and Hubei is maintained), and demand is strong in the south and weak in the north. It is expected that the market will continue to fluctuate in the future.
