According to data monitoring by SunSirs, as of December 25, 2023, the reference average price of 30% grade phosphate rock in China was around 1,034 RMB/ton. Compared with December 1, 2023 (reference price of phosphate rock was 1,054 RMB/ton), the price decreased by 20 RMB/ton, a decrease of 1.90%. Compared with October 1, 2023 (reference price of phosphate rock was 970 RMB/ton), the price increased by 64 RMB/ton, an increase of 6.60%.

Analysis review

From the monitoring chart of SunSirs data, it can be seen that since December, the overall domestic phosphate rock market had shown a slight weak decline and then remained stable and consolidated. At the beginning of the month, the domestic phosphate rock market remained stable overall, and the supply and demand news on the market was relatively calm. As the mid month stage approached, downstream demand for phosphate rock had weakened, and some regions had a mediocre shipping pace. In the early stage, mining companies had lowered the prices of mid to high end grade phosphate rock by a narrow margin, while the price of 30% grade phosphate rock had decreased by about 20-30 RMB/ton. The price difference between high and low prices on site had narrowed. As of December 25th, the domestic phosphate rock market price was based on around 1,020-1,080 RMB/ton.
