This week (12.18-22), domestic liquid ammonia saw a slight increase. According to the Commodity Market Analysis System of SunSirs, the main production area in Shandong saw a weekly increase of 0.84%.
Analysis review
The main production areas in the north were mainly affected by rising prices, while environmental protection in Shandong had affected the start of production. Some manufacturers had undergone maintenance on their equipment, resulting in tight supply performance. Some urea plants in Hebei had reduced production, coupled with temporary failures in some plants in Shanxi, the market had shown a tightening of supply. This week, large factories in Shandong and surrounding Hebei had generally raised prices by 50-100 RMB/ton. The dealer's offer followed suit. In addition, downstream procurement enthusiasm had slightly improved. Both supply and demand were favorable for the domestic ammonia market. As of December 22nd, the mainstream quotation in Shandong region was between 3,900-4,050 RMB/ton.
Market outlook
It is expected that in the near future, the equipment of northern liquid ammonia enterprises will gradually recover with the end of environmental protection, and the production of enterprises will increase in the later stage. The upward trend of liquid ammonia will be suppressed, and prices may have room to fall.
