On December 21st, the commodity price index (BPI) was at 953 points, unchanged from yesterday, a decrease of 29.04% from the highest point in the cycle of 1,343 points (2021-10-19), and an increase of 44.39% from the lowest point of 660 points on February 3rd, 2016. (Note: The cycle refers to 2011-12-01 present)
According to the price monitoring of SunSirs, on December 21, 2023, there were a total of 52 commodities with a month on month increase in the list of commodity prices, concentrated in the chemical sector (22 in total) and the rubber and plastic sector (9 in total). The top 3 commodities with a rise were aniline (3.74%), crude benzene (2.78%), and neopentyl glycol (2.62%). There were a total of 38 commodities with a month on month decline, concentrated in chemical industry (17 in total) and agriculture and sidelines (7 in total). The top three commodities with a decline were dysprosium metal (-1.48%), eggs (-1.33%), and soybean meal (-1.31%), respectively. The average daily increase and decrease is 0.07%.
