According to the Commodity Market Analysis System of SunSirs, as of September 26th, the average price of melamine from melamine enterprises was 7,350.00 RMB/ton, an increase of 0.68% compared to September 1st.

Analysis review

The melamine market rose first and then fell in September. At the beginning of the month, the market price of raw material urea rose, enterprises had ample orders to be issued. The industry's capacity utilization rate was below 60%, and the supply was tight. With the support of costs and supply, the price of melamine rose and ran at a high level. Downstream was mainly wait-and-see and followed up just in needed. In the mid and late September, downstream demand was weak, new orders in the market were not good, some enterprises resumed production, market supply increased, and the mentality of operators was insufficient. Holders lowered prices to attract orders, and the focus of negotiations in the melamine market weakened.

Upstream urea, according to the Commodity Market Analysis System of SunSirs, the reference price for urea on September 25th was 2,630.00 RMB/ton, a decrease of 1.19% compared to September 1st (2,661.67 RMB/ton).

Market outlook

Melamine analysts from SunSirs believe that as of September 26th, the raw material urea market declined, cost support was weak, supply increased, and downstream demand was flat.
