Analysis review
The domestic potassium sulfate market price continued to rise, and the significant increase in the price of potassium chloride had driven the quotation of potassium sulfate manufacturers. The price of potassium chloride slightly eased, but the cost pressure of potassium sulfate manufacturers increased significantly. The operation of the SDIC Xinjiang LuoBuPo’s potassium plant had not yet resumed. The arrival price of 52% powdered potassium sulfate was mostly between 3,700-3,800 yuan/ton, and actual transactions were mainly negotiated based on order quantity, with relatively limited spot supply.
The supply of goods in the domestic potassium fertilizer market had significantly increased, and the operating rate of domestic potassium chloride manufacturers had significantly recovered. The supply of goods was mostly concentrated in shipping, and new potassium chloride had arrived in various regions one after another. The supply of imported potassium in the bonded zone was slowly clearing customs, and the sales volume of market traders had increased.
Market outlook
The domestic potassium fertilizer market had limited supply, and it is expected that the market price of potassium sulfate will mainly show a slight upward trend.
