On September 5th, the commodity price index (BPI) stood at 988 points, an increase of 2 points compared to yesterday, a decrease of 26.43% from the cycle's highest point of 1343 points (2021-10-19), and a 49.70% increase from the lowest point of 660 points on February 3rd, 2016. (Note: The cycle refers to the period from December 1st, 2011 to the present)
According to the price monitoring of SunSirs, on September 5, 2023, a total of 85 commodities showed a month on month increase in the list of commodity prices, mainly in the chemical industry sector (34 types in total) and the rubber and plastic industry sector (13 types in total), with commodities with an increase of over 5% mainly concentrated in the chemical industry sector; The top three commodities with the highest increase were butadiene (6.56%), butadiene rubber (5.76%), and heavy soda ash (2.57%). There are a total of 33 commodities that have decreased compared to the previous month, mainly in chemical industry (11 in total) and agriculture and sidelines (6 in total). The top three commodities with a decrease are lead (-1.55%), lithium carbonate industrial grade (-1.43%), and lithium carbonate battery grade (-1.34%), respectively. The average daily increase or decrease is 0.3%.
