On September 4th, the commodity price index (BPI) stood at 986 points, an increase of 4 points compared to yesterday, a decrease of 26.58% from the cycle's highest point of 1,343 points (2021-10-19), and an increase of 49.39% from the lowest point of 660 points on February 3rd, 2016. (Note: The cycle refers to the period from December 1st, 2011 to the present)
According to the price monitoring of SunSirs, on September 4, 2023, there were a total of 106 commodities with a month on month increase in the list of commodity prices, mainly concentrated in the chemical sector (40 in total) and the non-ferrous sector (16 in total), with commodities with an increase of more than 5% mainly concentrated in the chemical sector; The top three commodities with the highest increase were sodium metabisulfite (11.68%), isobutyraldehyde (8.50%), and butadiene (5.74%). There are a total of 25 commodities with a month on month decline, mainly in chemical industry (12 in total) and agriculture and sidelines (8 in total). The top three commodities with a decline were soybean oil (-2.14%), palm oil (-2.11%), and soybeans (-1.89%). The average daily increase or decrease is 0.45%.
