SunSirs: Aniline Prices Slightly Increased This Week (August 7-11)

According to the Commodity Market Analysis System of SunSirs, the price of aniline had slightly increased this week. On August 7th, the market price of aniline was 10,725 RMB/ton, and on August 11th, it was 11,134 RMB/ton, an increase of 4.05% compared to last week.
Analysis review
Pure benzene: on August 10, the spot transaction price of benzene in East China was between 7,750 and 7,850, with an average price of 7,800 RMB/ton. The negotiated price of pure benzene in East China had significantly increased, and the industry expected that there would still be a shortage of imported goods on board in September. In addition, there would be a demand for National Day restocking in the downstream by the end of September, which would drive up spot prices. The transaction price in Shandong was between 7,890 and 7,950 RMB/ton. The strengthening of crude oil boosted refinery confidence, and the offer rose. Downstream and traders followed suit moderately, and the overall transaction fell short of expectations. On Friday (August 11th), the price of pure benzene was 7,800 RMB/ton, an increase of 1.69% compared to last week and a decrease of 4.38% compared to the same period last year.
Nitric acid: Domestic nitric acid had slightly increased this week. On August 7th, the price was 1,940 RMB/ton, and on August 11th, it was 1,943 RMB/ton. The price increased by 0.2% compared to last week and decreased by 23.29% compared to the same period last year.
Market outlook
The price of raw material pure benzene is strong, but some factories' shipments are less than expected, and aniline will be on the sidelines.
