On August 9th, the commodity price index (BPI) stood at 947 points, unchanged from yesterday, a decrease of 29.49% from the cycle's highest point of 1343 points (2021-10-19), and an increase of 43.48% from the lowest point of 660 points on February 3rd, 2016. (Note: The cycle refers to the period from December 1st, 2011 to the present)
According to the price monitoring of the Business Society, on August 9, 2023, there were a total of 46 commodities with a month on month increase in the list of commodity prices, concentrated in the chemical sector (18 in total) and the agricultural and sideline sectors (10 in total), with commodities with an increase of over 5% mainly concentrated in the chemical sector; The top three commodities with the highest increase were bromine (5.31%), carbon black (3.24%), and propane (3.15%). There are a total of 56 commodities that have decreased compared to the previous month, mainly in chemical industry (19 in total) and steel (18 in total). The top three commodities with a decrease are lithium iron phosphate (-3.21%), lithium carbonate industrial grade (-2.68%), and lithium carbonate battery grade (-2.49%), respectively. The average daily increase or decrease is 0.06%.
