SunSirs: China PS Market Dynamics on August 8

On August 8th, crude oil fell, while styrene was weak in a narrow range, which may dampen the market atmosphere. Some petrochemical manufacturers raised prices at the beginning of the week, but there is still some support for the cost side. The mainstream price of GPPS (polyphenylene sulfide) in the East China market is between 8,600 and 9,600 RMB/ton, while the mainstream price of HIPS (polystyrene) is between 9,150 and 9,850 RMB/ton. It is expected that the domestic PS (polystyrene) market will be narrow and soft in the short term.
