According to the Commodity Market Analysis System of SunSirs, the average market price of liquid CPL in China on July 31st was 12,600 RMB/ton, and on August 4th, the average market price of liquid CPL in China was 12,987 RMB/ton. The price of CPL was increased by 3.08% this week.
Analysis review
The market price of CPL had risen this week. The price of raw material pure benzene continued to rise, and cost support was strengthened. Under cost pressure, the spot price of CPL continued to rise with the trend of raw material prices. Partial equipment maintenance of CPL had resulted in a decrease in market availability, and downstream followed up on demand. As of August 4th, the delivery price of Shandong Hualu Hengsheng’s Liquid CPL to East China was 13,300 RMB/ton. The settlement price of Sinopec's high-end liquid premium CPL was 13,650 RMB/ton.
The price of raw material pure benzene increased this week. On July 31st, the price of pure benzene was 7,287 RMB/ton. On Friday (August 4th), the price of pure benzene was 7,670 RMB/ton, an increase of 6.08% compared to last week and a decrease of 9.94% compared to the same period last year. This week, the price of Sinopec pure benzene rose to 7,600 RMB/ton (with prices in Shandong and Hebei regions simultaneously increasing by 400 RMB/ton).
Market outlook
According to CPL analysts from SunSirs, the price trend of raw material pure benzene was relatively stronger recently. Affected by cost increases and a decrease in supply, the market price trend of CPL continued to rise. Under favorable factors, it is expected that the price of CPL will continue to rise in the short term.
