SunSirs: The N-Butanol Market in Shandong Region Was Upward Overall This Week (July 31-August 4)

According to monitoring data from SunSirs, as of August 4, 2023, the reference price of n-butanol in the Shandong region of China was 8,100 RMB/ton. Compared with July 30 (reference price of n-butanol was 7,700 RMB/ton), the price increased by 400 RMB/ton, an increase of 5.19%.

Analysis review

From the data monitoring chart of the SunSirs, it can be seen that this week (7.31-8.04), the domestic Shandong n-butanol market showed an overall upward trend. This week, some regions in China have undergone centralized maintenance of n-butanol plants, resulting in reduced on-site supply and tight spot circulation, supporting the upward movement of the n-butanol market. In addition, the downstream is entering a stage of centralized replenishment, and the demand for n-butanol is also providing upward momentum support. Therefore, with the support of both supply and demand, the market price of n-butanol in Shandong, China, has been continuously approaching upward, with an increase of around 300-500 RMB/ton during the week, as of August 4th, the domestic market price of n-butanol in Shandong region is around 7,900-8,100 RMB/ton.

Market outlook

At present, the trading atmosphere in the n-butanol market is mild, and the activity of on-site transactions and inquiries is normal. The n-butanol data analyst of the SunSirs predicts that in the short term, the domestic Shandong n-butanol market will mainly adjust and operate within a narrow range.
