SunSirs: China PE Prices Rise in July

According to the monitoring of the Commodity Market Analysis System of SunSirs, the domestic price of LLDPE (7042) was 8035 RMB/ton on July 1, and the average price on July 30 was 8,185 RMB/ton. During this period, the quotation increased by 1.87%.

According to the monitoring of the Commodity Market Analysis System of SunSirs, the average ex factory price of LDPE (2426H) on July 1st was 8,600 RMB/ton, and the average price on July 30th was 8,937 RMB/ton, with an increase of 3.92% during the period.

According to the monitoring of the Commodity Market Analysis System of SunSirs, the average ex factory price of HDPE (5000S) was 9,087 RMB/ton on July 1st, and the average price on July 30th was 9,307 RMB/ton. During this period, the quotation increased by 2.42%.

Polyethylene (PE) prices rose in July. In terms of cost: The high volatility of crude oil has a certain supporting effect on the price of polyethylene. In terms of supply: There has been an increase in temporary parking, maintenance, and decoration of polyethylene in China, with concentrated equipment maintenance and a decrease in local supply. Petrochemical enterprises and trade quotations have also increased. In terms of demand, the demand for agricultural films and pipes is in the off-season, and the market is mainly focused on purchasing just in need. Expectations of increased demand for agricultural film in mid to late July have boosted market confidence.

The polyethylene futures market in July mainly fluctuated and rose, which has a certain boosting effect on the spot market.

In August, domestic polyethylene maintenance and decoration have gradually restarted, and supply pressure is expected to increase; Demand is expected to improve, and polyethylene is expected to fluctuate and rise.
