The domestic bisphenol A market showed a strong upward trend. On June 30th, the mainstream price in East China was discussed at 9,212 RMB/ton, and as of the 9th, the market quotation pushed it up to 9,612 RMB/ton, with a weekly increase of 4.34%.
Analysis review
Phenol/acetone, the raw materials rose in shock in the early stage, and cost side still had support. As of July 7, the negotiated price of phenol market in East China was 6,600-6,650 RMB/ton, and the market price of acetone in East China was 5,130 RMB/ton.
The two downstream products, epoxy resin, were consolidated horizontally. The rising trend of epoxy resin slowed down after it rose in shock with the upward offer of bisphenol A, and the resin factory had little intention to sell at low prices under the cost pressure. As of July 10, the negotiated price of liquid epoxy resin in East China was 12,000-12,400 RMB/ton, paying attention to the trading and investment situation on the market.
Market outlook
The spot quantity of bisphenol A was limited, and there was no production and sales pressure from various manufacturers. The strong raw materials provided some support for the bisphenol A market. Pay attention to the recent transaction situation, and it was expected bisphenol A would be firm and consolidated on July 10th.
