SunSirs: Good Market Supply, China PC Market Continues to Soften

According to the bulk list data of SunSirs, the domestic PC market continued to decline in mid June, and spot prices of various brands continued to decline. As of June 21, the reference quotation for the PC sample enterprises of the SunSirs was around 14,766.67 RMB/ton, with a decrease of -2.32% compared to the beginning of the month.

In terms of raw materials: The market for bisphenol A has been rising recently. In terms of raw materials, although acetone rose and fell, the market activity of phenol increased, and prices continued to rise. The limited spot quantity of superimposed bisphenol A has led to recent price increases, which can provide sufficient support for PC cost.

In terms of supply: In mid June, the overall operating rate of domestic PCs was adjusted to around 60%, and the current industry operating rate is about 59%, which has decreased compared to the previous ten days. The industry load is gradually relieved from a three-year high. But on-site supply remains abundant, and factory prices continue to break through and decline. Multi brand supply is flooding the market, with weak support for spot goods.

In terms of demand: In mid June, downstream PC buyers just needed to maintain production, and the business owners had a more wait-and-see mentality. The auction situation has weakened, and transaction prices have generally decreased. At present, the starting position of terminal enterprises is not high, and the holiday is approaching. The actual stock situation is poor, and there is no volume of on-site trading. Traders have a poor mentality, their prices have fallen, and the difficulty of arbitrage has increased.

The PC market continued to be weak in mid June. The upstream bisphenol A market has risen, slightly improving the support for PC costs. The load of domestic polymerization plants has been adjusted back, but the pattern of abundant supply remains unchanged, and the demand side has not improved significantly. There is currently no sign of the PC market breaking out of the supply-demand contradiction, and it is expected that the market may continue to operate weakly.
