On June 5th, the commodity price index (BPI) stood at 911 points, unchanged from yesterday, a 32.17% decrease from the cycle's highest point of 1343 points (2021-10-19), and a 38.03% increase from the lowest point of 660 points on February 3rd, 2016. (Note: The cycle refers to the period from December 1st, 2011 to the present)
According to the price monitoring of SunSirs, on June 5, 2023, there were a total of 60 commodities with a month on month increase in the list of commodity prices, concentrated in the chemical industry sector (17 in total) and the steel industry sector (13 in total), with commodities with an increase of over 5% mainly concentrated in the steel industry; The top three commodities with the highest increase were steel billets (5.11%), angle steel (4.75%), and channel steel (4.63%). There are a total of 66 commodities that have decreased month on month, mainly in the chemical industry (39 in total) and non-ferrous metals (8 in total), with commodities with a decrease of more than 5% mainly concentrated in the chemical industry sector; The top three commodities with a decline were cyclohexanone (-7.33%), hydrochloric acid (-5.71%), and calcium carbide (-4.76%). The average daily increase or decrease was -0.09%.
