SunSirs: Coal Prices in Shanxi Province Slightly Declined in the Third Week of May
May 31 2023 14:02:07According to the market monitoring data of means of production of Shanxi Provincial Department of Commerce, in the third week of May (May 15-21), the average price of coal in Shanxi Province was 1107.4 RMB/ton, down 0.5% month on month. Among them, the average price of thermal coal with a calorific value of 5000 to 5500 kcal is 710.83 RMB/ton, a decrease of 1.2% month on month; The average price of anthracite No.2 was 1247.6 RMB/ton, down 0.6% month on month; The average price of 1/3 coking coal for coking is 1363.78 RMB/ton, which is the same as the previous week. The sales pressure on the power coal market in the province has increased, and some coal companies have obvious inventory backlog, and prices continue to decline slightly. Some coal companies in Shuozhou region have lowered their prices by 5-10 RMB/ton, while large coal companies in TaiRMB region have lowered their prices by 20-50 RMB/ton. The overall demand side of the smokeless lump coal market in the province is weak, with a strong wait-and-see attitude towards stabilizing prices for large coal enterprises. Some local coal enterprises in Jincheng region have slightly accumulated inventory, and prices have been lowered by 20 RMB/ton.
The refined coal market for coking in the province is operating smoothly, and the prices of major coal enterprises and most local coal enterprises remain stable. It is expected that coal prices may fluctuate and decline in the short term.
