According to the monitoring of the Commodity Market Analysis System of SunSirs, the egg price was 9.03 RMB/kg at the beginning of this week, and 8.55 RMB/kg at the end of this week. The price decreased by 5.32%, and the price decreased by 12.13% compared to the same period last year.
Analysis review
In terms of spot goods, the overall market supply was relatively sufficient. As the weather turned hot, terminal demand was slightly weak, and market transactions were relatively light. To avoid inventory backlog, various links mainly focused on purchasing and selling as needed, coupled with the continued weakness of peripheral markets, the egg prices operated weakly.
On the supply side, since the beginning of this year, the breeding profits have been better than the same period in previous years, driving the price and sales volume of chicken seedlings to rebound, and the production and inventory of laying hens are showing an increasing trend. In addition, the loose prices of feed raw materials such as corn and soybean meal drove down the cost of laying hens, leading to a decline in support for egg prices.

As the southern region entered the rainy season, dealers had a relatively cautious purchasing attitude, and egg prices continued to decline. It is expected that in the short term, egg prices may mainly fluctuate in a narrow range
