SunSirs: Domestic Phenol Market Was Weaker

The domestic phenol market was operating to be weaker, with Sinopec's North China phenol quotation lowered by 100 RMB/ton and executed at 7,500 RMB/ton, while Sinopec's East China phenol quotation remained stable at 7,500 RMB/ton. According to the market analysis system of Business Society, the negotiated price of phenol in East China had dropped to 7,400 RMB/ton.
Analysis review
Upstream pure benzene had slightly increased the negotiated price at 7,050 RMB/ton, but cost support was limited. After the downstream bisphenol A holiday, the atmosphere was light, and the market experienced a narrow decline. The negotiated price was between 9,750 and 9,850 RMB/ton.
Market outlook
In the short term, it is difficult for phenol to have any positive effects, and the market is weak and adjusted. It is expected that the negotiated price in the phenol market today will be between 7,350-7,450 RMB/ton.
